Beer allergy as in it takes less than a mouthful to make me violently ill. And to recant the tale I tell most people, I've tried hundreds of different ales, stouts, bitters, lagers and so on and so forth. Rice beers, wheat beers, all that shit. None of them sit, all of them make me projectile vomit within about twenty-thirty minutes of setting foot inside my digestive tract.
I'm pretty certain it's the hops - I've narrowed it down that much.

and you say you are scottish? seriously though, I will remember this if we ever meet up.

Nope, I don't say that much, but you'll find that if we ever meet up. ;)

After the Lauren Bacall beatdown, I'm afraid there's no where to go but down this season. It's just not possible to top that.
spoilers yo
Maybe I'm alone on this, but I'm thinking this grand slam, double whammy of Seasons 6 and 6.5 are going to completely devastate Sopranos fans, but I mean that in the best possible way. I'm already seeing so many call-backs to the previous seasons, direct references and subtle ones, and there are so many layers of character threads going on that my mind just boggles, it simultaneously makes me want to be immersed in this season trying to backtrack all the details in my mind and go back to the start and watch all of the seasons again. This looks like, once all the dust has settled after the big finale, that Sopranos is going to be pretty much one of the best shows in existence. As you say, RBJ, they've pretty much layered the unhappiness and discontent so thick and fast that you can see ANYONE potentially flipping on Tony or trying to take control.
Even then, the short arc with Artie was one of the most satisfying mini-arcs for a character in a long time. I must admit though, when he first started fighting with Benny, I got horrible flashbacks to when he got himself all fucked up before... but then when he kicked his ass, I was like: GO ARTIE!, of course, he had to go and fuck it by being a wiseass later then deserved what he got. But that was an A++ arc.
Even the most recent episode, which was a side-step out of this season's arc (which they can often do), leads you in a direction where - for the most part - you're kinda WTFing? at the episodes narrative. I'm sitting laughing at Chris's escapades in Hollywood,
"Yo Kingsley." "Sir Ben." "Yeah, right. Sorry.", the horror movie thread in general (SAW meets GHOSTBUSTERS), the luxury lounge business and you're partly thinking OK THIS IS GOOD, BUT WHERE ARE THEY GOING WITH THIS, AM I WATCHING THE SOPRANOS OR SOME SATIRE ON HOLLYWOOD, and then Chris punches the fuck out of Lauren Bacall, Tony and him quibble over the goods basket and later, two Naples hoods are gushing over the (relatively speaking) small trinkets they have purchased and in those final closing scenes, the Sopranos proves it is a heavyweight in writing. Apart from providing another entertaining episode, they manage to hammer home big points about materialism and hollywood excess, without losing touch with their main storylines. Plus Lauren Bacall got fucking knocked out, that was awesome.
Jesus. I'm going to be sad when this one ends. :(
Got tonight's episode... going to watch it later, after dinner.
Also, see something big happening with these arab guys? Wouldn't it be irony if the Sopranos team ended up getting pinned for Terrorism charges?
Anyway, my prediction for the very last shot of The Sopranos:
Tony, alone in his house, perhaps miserable, dishevelled, feeling totally jaded due to what happens next and perhaps feeling the noose draw around his neck from either the FBI (someone flipping) or the family turning against him (Paulie finally going over to the Sac's), and the ducks will return.
