Ok. So what is the deal with increadibly valuable items obtained in the game and merchants who could never possibly afford them? I just laid down 5000 on my stronghold and my funds are running very thin. I would like to sell some of my valuable treasure but noone can pay a fraction of what is worth..

Quite simply, there is no market for high end weapons in Morrowind, you are one of the few adventurers there, and the average joe blow farmer can't afford a big nifty sword, while the rich fellow knows he can't move a daedric staff =)

In Caldera, In the Gankrok (sp?) Manor, (the house with 4 orcs in it) on the top floor, there is a Creeper, who buys anythign, at its exact market value.

dude that's amasing!
I've seen that little guy... but I've never imagined that he did that...
*Goes to sell all those usless daedric and ebony things he found*
I'll be richhhhhhhh....:D

He didn't say he has infinite money though, the creeper only has 5k gold, which while high for a shopkeeper, doesn't quite cut it for selling daedric or ebony stuff. He also doesn't buy anything, he won't buy raw ingredients.

Well... here's an introduction to the best plug-in available... the RICH NPC's plug-in!
That creeper would have 50K gold with this plug-in. It increases all shop owners to 10x their base gold amounts. No more wondering who will buy the stuff off of you. You can get the plug-in at:

There's a way to sell expensive stuff to the Creeper without cheating at all, takes patience though. I just posted it to some other thread here about how to sell high value stuff. Actually its not that bad if you don't mind doing a few 24 hour waits. Just as well your charactr doesn't get bored eh?
What's this House Hlaalu cash bug? Any info on the official elderscrolls site might as well be on the moon, and connected to the net by a 28K modem, for all its accessibility.

Some quests where you get a reward just keep giving you that reward. Suppose you have to click on "reward" to get the reward. Well after you get the reward, just click on "reward" again for another reward. And again. And again. It's not a bug, it's a feature :p
I just store all expensive items though. Much nicer! I get a good cash flow from collecting alms for the poor ... oops I mean from selling cheap items like gems, potions and scrolls to every merchant I see.

What Tuco says is dead on. And personally I enjoy having to work a little for my money. I never do any 24 hour waits at Creeper, though I do take random trips there to sell items when I see that it will land around 5K and it's been a day since I last visited him. As a result, I have a shitload of expensive stuff just laying around. Neatly placed of course, so that I can show off to my imaginary friends that I bring over to one of my houses. :cheeky:
