duh, the line would have worked had it been used properly and not let itself get sourrounded. it had no chance of working. it protected one side of france. they simply went through the forrest to the south (i believe) since the french were to arrogant to beluieve that anyone would take the forrest route. bassicaly the miginot line is an expensive decoration for france.
