Cash grab confirmed. They ported the 50Hz PAL version of MGS1, WTF?!!!! MGS 2 & 3 are only 1080p every platform.

EDIT: 60Hz NTSC version maybe available as an optional language pack DLC (English US). Definitely hope so. Still a shit port by the sounds of it.

Did you miss Konami's note that the(https://www.ign.com/articles/konami-confirms-metal-gear-solid-master-collection-vol-1-issues-to-be-addressed-post-launch) ports were going to need to be fixed post-release? I would have been massively surprised if this actually was a technically competent release.

Gonna have to invoke ZB here: Konami never fail to disappoint.

I kinda get the issues Thief fans has with MGS games. And i speak of a guy who was a massive fanboy of MGS2.

But i will atleast give cred where credit is due. Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake MSX game. This game

It inspired lot of stealth elements that i think people generally overlook. That i do think was better implemented in Thief series in 3D than MGS was, because it was more for the story and not so much a world of stealth (Take Hitman games for example, with exception of Hitman Absolution which is terrible).

But going off topic. In MG2 Solid Snake you could walk on grating that would make a sound and that would make guards go and check it out, be suspicious etc, same happens if you knock on a wall. Now i dont know how much old stealth games people played, but this i have never seen of before. So even if you think Metal Gear Solid is boring. I atleast RECOMMEND to try out MG2 Solid Snake atleast. Its in my view my favorite Kojima game. But it just so happend Thief 2 basically perfected anything from that game into a 3D masterpiece.

I still stand by that i think Thief The Dark Project is bad. But people disagree which is fine!

Also i guess MGS Master Collection is worth it, if you simply wanna relive MGS1 in different languages. PS1 game had localized versions of voice actors in their seperate language in European countries.

That TMNT collection they put out roughly a year ago turned out pretty well, the rare outlier.

Yeah, (https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid_-_Master_Collection_Version) since release it's been confirmed but when the video came out it wasn't. Just speculation on the reviewer Gggmanlives' part at that point in time since the language packs weren't available prior to release.
