Eww. What consistently pisses me off about the remake is just how they're so heavy handed with everything. Apparently, the concept of subtly is something that seems to be a little too foreign to the writers. I caught the last hour or so of Razor, and I just couldn't believe how consistently atrocious the dialog was.

That was a rather lackluster episode... More suited for normal mid-season broadcasting than a season opener. Hopefully next week will be better.

I thought it was fine, not quite a high-thrills opener, but it set quite an interesting dynamic for the rest of the season. I wonder if they'll continue the trend of flash-forwards going backwards in time.

Flash forwards? You mean they're actively putting the viewer ahead in time on the island/off the island with people and expect anyone to put the pieces together without the help of rabid internet nerds?
Also, any show that takes 1.5 seasons to heat up isn't much of a show to be honest, and ironically at 1.5 seasons was where I got utterly fed up with the show's constant cockteasing and lack of reveals, contrived flashback set-ups and poor character development... I can't imagine it's any better.

Totally seconded.
I so wanted this show to go somewhere, but after watching the X-Files religiously for years, I've just grown incredibly weary of 'Teases Without Releases' TM
Also, this whiskey's giving me headaches. :(

So both episodes so far are flash-forwards? I've yet to see S4E2.
I know I'm a total sucker for this series but the 1st episode really was the win for me. But so frustrating!
