Eff you and your spoilers
I'm beside myself with excitement, I really hope it's good.

I'm guessing this season's cliffhanger will be a doozy, since this is really their last opportunity to do one.
You called it. Biggest evil tease cliffhanger of the entire series. I was at once stoked we figured out so much, and pissed beyond belief that I have to wait a year to figure out what happens next.
Shame Juliet had to die so badly.I'm feeling that the first 5 minutes of the episode are about the closest we've come to seeing what the show is actually about, and it isn't at all about Locke, Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, Kate, and the rest. They're just there to play their part at the end of a long series of controlled events started when Jacob brought the Black Rock to the island.
Anyway, excellent episode. This entire season makes up for the at times unbearably slow 3rd and 4th seasons. Lost actually feels like it's going somewhere now, and wherever it's going, it looks grand.

May contain spoilers, blabla, blablablablabla, bla, bla bla.
What a great finale! Probably the best one so far.
There's always this one problem though. Lost was never meant to be watched like it. 6 years for some, about 2-3 for me. It's better, if it was watched within a month or so. :P Or a week... :D
P.S. The last bit of clip in the episode was almost like a comedy or something.
Strange, actually, but in this whole season i liked Miles (okay, that's a strange name, so maybe i misspoke), his daddy and Daniel the best. Oh and for once Jack was actually a badass. That was good to see.

Looked like they enabled GTA IV's autoaim for Jack's handgun in last night's episode.

Wow, I can't even begin to predict what they will do for season six at this point. That intro scene was exactly what most Lost fans have been craving - info on the origins of the Island. And the ending - well, anything is possible now.
Interesing, it looks like like Rose and Bernard are the skeletons in the cave from season one. No one would have guessed that.

This is definitely the best TV show.
(Although those action sequences were just silly.)

The religious good vs. evil theories are starting to make too much sense, there was a lot of imaginery in the episode and I don't like that a single bit. Otherthan that, the episode was super awesome!

A thought:
First of all I would say the head is from the crocodile god Sobek but looks more like Sobek (god of life) than anubis to me.
1. Its a confrontation between good and evil… so since Egyptians, two gods: Sobek (crocodile, god of life, jacob, white guy, only one with statue…) and Anubis (dog, god of death, other guy in black, pissd for not having statue) live in this island… as in many cultures / Ideas, a god cant kill a god, so they need humans to do it…
thats why jacob kept resurrecting locke, healing the girl (seemed to have leprosy or something), and doing stunts involving life (saving Sayid, not the girl), cuz he needed them in the island, but for good things, always the other guy has been leading people to believe HE WAS Jacob but noooooooo… Jacob doesnt even bother on those things… just in good things.
2. since the beggining we get the notion that anubis wants to kill jacob and hes been tryin for ages, but always happens a cycle that brings life to the isle (sobek must feel lonely), jacob make ppl come to isle, and they always get killed (they fight and corrupt)…
3. finally the cycle breaks because Jacob has too much faith in locke, and anubis dude uses that to meddle with poor old left behind ben so he can kill jacob (human kills god)
4. on the event I have serious doubts but I concur that like desmond being teleported they get somewhere else, they dont die in the blast… anyone remembers hurley and sawyer finding a van with a skeleton of lafleur with a bunch of beers? my guess is sawyer stayed there, kept on the dahrma and died drunk feeling alone :( Appropriate I think.
So they get misplaced all over time and space, bomb destroys statue and half isle, splitting it in 2 maybe??? We never heard in 1977 of 2 islands… and noone (but phill impaled) dies really, the bomb gets blasted away by the EMP field that renders it inoperable and the cycle contiunes till anubis gets in the shape of locke and makes ben kill jacob
Also why Illana is so knowing of all… is she from the past 2 like Ricardo??? Maybe from the Black Rock?
All in, I really enjoyed it. Now theorise.
