My apologies. In the future we'll be sure to query you on appropriate thread topics before posting. or you could just get the fuck out
Yeah you do that, because you clearly need help in that regard. What's your problem, fett? And where's your map? Come on, I wanna know all about you! Where did your spend your kindergarten days? Where did you decide to become a preacher? And where did you fall from grace? I don't care why. Just give me a marker on a map, that's what matters to me.
Are you really that retarded that you won't get why another bored "pinpoint your location" thread is a shitty idea? Apart from the obvious privacy concerns, what's the idea? What will it tell you about me, you or anyone, to see where we used to live? You won't even remember once you open the next tab. But it will be there forever and everyone to see. How is that worth it?

You fail at internets. If it's not worth it to you, don't read--and especially don't post in--the thread.
This is a simple concept you seem to have missed somewhere along the way. This is, what, the third thread this week that you've interrupted to tell us all how stupid the thread is? Since you've done so again, let's pause and I'll explain as clearly as I can: most of us here are adults and resent being told what is worthwhile to discuss, which you manage to do continually. I'm not the only one who has noticed or commented on this. Possibly you should take a step back and realize that the common denominator in the shitty threads around here is you.

Is this some kind of anti-social experiment, Kolya? ...Building up to something? A personal joke? Troll exercises?

Naw, he's probably taken up Ulu's little preamble in the OP as a challenge, and has in fact won after dethtoll's post. The utter cad.
Anyway, Google Maps can't figure out the road maps for the places I've been to, and I really can't blame it, so all I've got is a number: ~2001kms from the place where I was born.

I don't think I had three threads this week yet, I feel empty. But if it was so we might have discovered a pattern for this forum, eh? Now since raising privacy concerns goes right over your head (What with connecting this with all the existing maps?) let me address that "just don't post" shit, it's pretty easy: I didn't plan to post here again after my first post and Ulukai's answer. The thing was doomed from the start and I'd jumped ship soon enough.
But then some smacktard started tickling my funny bone from remote - rather halfarsedly I might add, but since he was buzzing around there I went: Oh wth, might as well tell him, maybe he's in for more... Oh wait, it's the other obsessive freak. Wait for me Argentina! Here I come. ... You know how it goes. And suddenly I find myself in the most awesome flamewar! It's almost like the good old times! Remember when we had that fight over that lame comic? That was great, wasn't it? Then there were some others that escape me at the moment, I'm sure someone with more time and less beer can find them all, which would be nice, because sometimes I like to go back and read those again and have a great time laughing about you and me and everyone involved. But not now man, not here and now, this shit is serious.
Oh yeah, crotchety weasles, if that's what I think it is, I never had those, but boy am I trying. You?
fett on 7/3/2009 at 14:46
Now I'm pretty sure it's me who's lost the plot.
WAHT?

We now know you're a frothing lunatic.
People didn't have to post the exact location they were born. I didn't, because I was concerned about just that. As I said, the point of this thread -
I wanted to know if people really do end up living close to where they were born because my family doesn't, and evidence suggested this was not the norm.
I'll be
sure not to fag up any of your threads that I find irrationally offensive in future.

Well, I LIKE this thread and I've known Kolya was a bozo from his first response to me. I'd just ignore the little twerp.
Back to business: I live a good 1,200 miles from my birthplace. I saw the statistic you started with someplace else a few weeks back and wondered myself if it was realistic. I've lived in up and down the west coast from Alaska to SoCal and most of the people I know seem to have lived in a lot of different places too.
This country is so huge, and moving betweeen states so hassle-free, that it invites farflung geographic experimentation. Perhaps it is simply that we eventually make out ways back to source before we die. Now THERE's a trend to study. Maybe we're like salmon.

There's NO place like home sweet home, where the heart is!
