It wasn't enough to kill a cat in my Teddy thread, you started your own... (I don't actually mind.)
Guess Chappaquidick isn't the punchline it used to be; I should have put a link.
Anyway, end of an era. A friend of mine interned for Teddy and said he threw the best parties, inviting all his staff, and would come down the stairs saying "ding-a-ling-ling" and knew how to have a good time. They all loved him.

oh crap I didn't even make the connection, I thought it was a reaction to that other preaching dude's thread :erm: Sorry!

Thanks, but don't feel bad. I really was too quick to just copy-cat that thread right after I read the news.
Your title is admittedly much better. :)

There's nothing worse than having that stupid song stuck in my head while reading about the late Sen. Kennedy.
Well, maybe having brain cancer could possibly be worse, but this is a close second.
Okay, maybe a close third after Stryper.
In the jungle, the mighty jungle...

Lighting the wrong end of your cigarette is the worst thing ever.
R.I.P. Teddy.

No, discovering that the mouthwash bottle that you just took a swig from has had its contents replaced with (
http://www.absorbinejr.com/) Absorbine Jr is the worst thing ever.
True story. :(
I'm tempted to make a smartass remark about drowning or the like, but at this late date it would be like doing a Herbert Hoover joke.

Is that a Hoover flag sticking out of your pants or are you just happy to see me? :D

We have lost the last of "no to the nuclear-conventional wars" generation of politics.
Remember the Cuban missile crisis? Me neither I wasn't even alive back then, but History or it was Discovery Channel, showed me how close I was to non existence.

I hated the guy, but it is the end of an era. Hard to say he served selflessly considering the paychecks these guys pull down these days. Either way - safe sailing Teddy.
