I too know the pain of enchanting, Ive spent around 1,200,000 gold on enchanting. I still have to enchant 2 more pieces of clothing. Ive enchanted one full suit, and it gave me 92% chameleon for about 600k gold. I dumped that(too anoying to have to talk to an npc 15 time before they see me and have them like me 50 less points). I dumped my chameleon gear and started over. I still have 2 peices to 4 peices left, and its cost me 400k, on the bright side i have a 130 long blade and a like 73 bonus to strength. Im also eventually going to make my own st roris set but itll cost me estimated 250k for like 10 points of health so whatever. I still have 80k and a bunch of daedric, time to sell to the drunk mudcrab. Ive also screwed up on about 200k worth of items. I have about 5 items that cast levitate on touch instead of self. I kept casting it and it wouldnt work, I finally figured it out about 150k later when i cast one on an npc, he walked away and floted about 5ft high it wouldve have been funny had I not been screaming in rage:sweat:

*grin* On a bright note, you can now ferry escorts over the most dangerous of terrain, and all you have to worry about is making sure not to let their enchantments wear out (*aiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee* *SPLAT* [remind you of anyone? ;)])

I'm telling you guys to get the Mr. Big plugin, the guy has 100,000 every twentyfour hours. pays about 75% of value at 100% dispo. You can then make good money, enchant all kinds of stuff. I don't care that too many "Purists" think it's cheating, I just don't have a lifetime to spend waiting for time to pass to sell to a crab. Im level 54 w/ 100% chameleon clothes,(don't forget to enchant skirts, males CAN wear them) I can walk up behind golden twilights and critical blow/deadsville them in 1 blow w/ a daedric katana w/ no enhancements on it. It's a hoot to watch them fold up. The problem then becomes finding worthy souls for the gems. The problem of not being seen is an easy one too, just take off some gear! I'm working on getting a levitation clothing set up to about level 50 so I don't have to hike everywhere. It's nice to just fly everywhere. I'm up to level 32 right now but still a little slow going.

what's with you peopl?? just do the enchantment yourself and never pay a dime!
start small and work your way up with practice(every use of enchanted item counts as enchantment exp.) and remember that a weak enchantment with a "bottomless clip" is quite dangerous when shot rapid-fire at a distance, so try using a very expensive soul gem every once in awhile. Also, try doing your enchantments under the influence of fortify luck and fortify intelligence potions, usually adds some degree of success to your efforts so long as you make reasonable demands of your skill :)

Good point Shanjaq...just don't thinky many people have the patience for it. Back in my early days I sold lots of common and petty soul gems that had cliff racers, alits, diseased rats, etc. to Creeper for the easy cash and the skill pts. of casting soul trap (until I got my soul drinker sword/dagger) but never once did I think of using those on small items for practice. I went to an enchanter thinking I could save my magic points by getting an Almsivi Intervention amulet (like my roommate has) instead of needing to use my spell. Well, I wasn't going to pay over $100k for an amulet that would save me a few magic points. So now I'm collecting expensive/exquisite jewelry items and using filled greater soul gems to practice small enchantments (*also paid for some enchantment training, need alittle extra help sometimes*). Having a ring that will levitate just enough to float up a tower is expecially helpful when you're a Telvanni member....
