I just played the original on PS5 a few months ago, and it kinda already felt like a remaster; it's held up really well. That said, I found the story rather unpleasant and am not eager to experience it again soon.

...because it literally was a remastered PS3 game. :weird: Are you okay?

I mean it didn't feel like an old PS4 game; it felt closer to a native PS5; maybe not exactly, but close. In any case, it didn't seem like it needed a remake at all.

100% agree, but at the very least this means that the game will be on PC now.
At present there's been mixed reception to the art direction changes. At least with a PC version they can be potentially reversed by modders.

The remastered has a nice style, and is pretty sharp. The new version definitely looks much more REAL, which could increase my immersion, so I might have to try it.

Kind of a big deal to me if it comes to PC. I'm not a console kind of person, but sometimes there are games that come out I think are so important I need to at least watch a walkthrough video of them, and the two big examples were this and RDR1. But if this comes out on PC, it gives me a chance to actually play it.
I was going to say that I wish I could say the same about RDR1, but a little research brings up a few articles floating a rumor that they're working on a remake of that too which will also come out on PC.

There's been remake rumours forever. Just like the Bloodborne PC port rumours, I wouldn't hold your breath for it.
RDR1 seems playable using the RPCS3 emulator. It's a very good emulator. I recently replayed The Darkness 1 and 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand using it.

EDIT:
Apparently it runs a lot better under the Xbox 360 emulator, Xenia.

1:1 remaster confirmed, the leaks about a month back were 100%. It's a $70 USD cash grab, with less content considering that they removed the PvP MP.

I looked into getting this on PC, ~$85 NZD. That much for a decade old game? LMAO, no.

I think I paid $35 for a PS3 copy when it was about a year old + $20ish for the PS4 ver when it was a similar vintage. (One down side to PC gaming is that there's no physical copies that you can pick up on heavy discounts, cuz retailers are wanting to clear out their stock.)

Plus they're riding on the success of the show.
