Hey, Daggerfall did that back in 1996, even if it didn't do all that much.
(That game had a huge web of factions who liked/hated each other, and doing quests for one would make the others hate you.)
Also, a mod should probably all this Judas discussion to its own thread.

I think AI could be the next big narrative revolution. Imagine having actual emergent storylines or completely unpredictable NPCs who say and act differently based on tiny details in how you play the game. The ChatGPT thing is already getting scarily close to that.
I think that's probably the closest we can get to the idea of "narrative legos" in its most literal definition. I think AI Dungeonmaster (or whatever it is called) has already been an attempt at that, but IIRC it was completely unstructured. I think it would be interesting to put some constraints, like a predetermined branching story/world but all the NPCs are entirely AI-driven.

Steam Next Fest is on and I'm poking around looking at Imm Sims.
Shadow Of A Doubt has a demo, I played a bit of it. It presents an impressively complex world, but perhaps a bit TOO complex to wanna bother getting into in a demo. I also found this thing called Repo Man. Check this out!

Maybe this could be something? It's got a demo, but I haven't played it.
The System Shock reboot also reportedly has an updated demo, but I think I'll just wait and see how the full release turns out, supposedly coming out in March? I'm not a KS backer or anything but I am curious about it.

The thing about Repo Man is the dev, Achara Studios, has four projects on their main page in production or pre-pro on their studio page. Can't find anything else about them, no interviews, nada - which is very interesting, given that one of the things you want to do as a dev house is get word out about your work to your industry contacts, so everyone can crow about your cool looking shiny new project which was announced last year. And Repo Man looks neat, but I'm intrigued as to whether it'll actually be a playable game or something that exists more in the space of cool assets thrown together.
Anyway, the demo they uploaded was apparently the wrong one, and reports (including one from Jehsibu) are that it was borked beyond belief. They should be uploading the 'correct' one now, so we shall see.
Edit: after trawling reddit, some history! So it was apparently announced in 2019 by a different dev house but didn't go anywhere, and Achara took it over and rebooted development. Their publisher, known for Polish shovelware apparently, is funding the project with about 31.5K euros. None of these are good signs, but hey, if you're optimistic there may be something to look forward to here. Maybe.

Also, Delightfyl (listed in the OP) has been cancelled, I believe.

I saw Repo Man and immediately thought of the movie. If any of you have seen it, imagine it as the main quest in a GTA game. That would be way more interesting than the above trailer.
