This is deeply, unappealingly lo-fi to me aesthetically, and at the same time very intriguing.

Oh hey, this is out now. It looks about as good as a telephoto zoom of an oozing asswart, but the ongoing concern is how it plays. How does it play, someone who will buy this game? Tell me all about it, and don't blink your multiplicated eyes at me.

I feel like I'd get 3D sickness just by thinking about playing it.

Word on the street is the next Arkane Lyon game is being announced at the Game Awards. I hope it's something without a number at the end of it, but it's probably Dishonored 3.

I see Sulphur already owns it, so I'm curious to hear his impressions before buying it.

I'm still carving my way through bandit and Roman nekket iyadets in AC: Origins, so it might be a while before Bayek hangs up his blood poet ostrich feather quill so I can get to that.
I spied Malf playing it though (this is the true reason for friends lists), so maybe he'll have some thoughts.

Not got very far yet, but Stephen's VA work is like being wrapped snugly in a warm, welcoming blanket.
He's such a dreamboat.
Initial impressions are good; you have to be very careful, as everything can and will kill you very quickly. However, the lack of mantling is conspicuous by its absence. There have been places that look like I should be able to mantle, but can't.
I've literally played about 20-30 minutes so far, so I don't feel entirely comfortable passing judgement yet, but it's certainly a lot more welcoming than Cruelty Squad, which I keep bouncing off of. That game bombards me with too much too quickly and alters my perception. Playing Cyberpunk after playing Cruelty Squad, it looks drab and washed out. Then my eyes adjust back to normality.
Edit update: Having put some more time into it tonight, I think I can pretty safely say that whilst it's a very good, tense game, it is not an Imm Sim.
It's a first-person Souls-like.

Welp, nevermind. It's not a sequel (yay) but a cynical third-person action game license cash in which is worse.

Well, they had a good run. I wish they could have made a sequel to Prey, but at least they left behind some highly playable immersive sims.
