You're still limited by how big the playspace is. Max size is supposed to be a rectangle with a 15' diagonal, but with the new base stations some people have done some (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD4UlShicgY&feature=youtu.be) crazier stuff. There are also a lot of experiments going on with different ways of doing locomotion to go outside of that room. Teleportation is really popular, but one of the side effects a lot of people have noticed is that when you use teleportation, people tend to stop walking around in their playspace.
(

I work within 10 feet of a Vive, so I've got to have a go myself as well as see a lot of people try it out for the first time. They are awesome fun (the Space Pirate Training especially), but after trying it I don't really feel like going back (at least not to the little demo games which are all we have at the moment). Mind you, our setup hasn't really dealt with the problem of the cable trailing behind you - nothing puts you off walking around like worrying you're going to trip over something you can't see. Current thinking is to pass it through a hook or similar in the ceiling. It doesn't really play well with my glasses, either, although there's an extra foam spacer to move the screen further from your head that we haven't attached.
Given that I'd have to buy a hefty new PC just to go in the living room for one of these, my current plan is to buy a game or two when they finally land, play them in the office, and see if it really has staying power (at least for me) and if I really want to splash out on my own hardware.

Eww something about that video makes me wanna puke. Like that movie "Her". Like an apple commercial. "Now make your dream come true of actually being inside an apple commercial!" The question is, are there enough hipsters in the world to make this thing profitable?
Anyway you can tell they're really scratching their heads trying to come up with a good way to explain VR to the general public. Also what I got from this is that the graphics for these games look horrendous. And not just in a low-poly, low-res way, but also in a complete lack of art direction way.

Is this the firs time someone's tried the green screen trick? Because this is the first time I've actually felt excited about VR. Apple ad ickyness aside.

The Fantastic Contraption folks did make a similar one a while back, which was (

Ok, that is rather cool.
