Hey, kind words can't bring anything back once it's gone, nor can it prevent things from happening. All we can do in your situation is realize that when we leave our body, or leave this world, we're free. The moment we leave at death, all pain and sorrow is banished. Our bodies are a huge restraint from our true intelligence and beings. Your father has lead an awsome life, i'm sure he doesn't regret one single moment, and his memory will live on in the form of a greatly taught and raised man (you) and i'm sure he's proud. Just know that death comes at the perfect and exact time for everyone no matter if we don't see it being that way. My best wishes to you and your family, it's always hard being in such a situation, but the last thing any father or husband wants to do is be a burden or see his family in pain. Don't let his situation bring you pain, let it bring you only closer to your father then ever possible.

You're dad lives in you, you must remember him for the great things he left in who you are today, remember his greatness & let him live thru your successes
for it was he, who made you.

You never truly say goodbye to men like that. The wake they leave is permanent. You have my sympathy and understanding.

My father passed away this morning. He will be sorely missed. :(
But, like someone said in this thread, at least he is no longer in any pain.
Goodbye Dad, you were the best dad ever.
