True assasins only use the robes provided to them. I should know, I go into no dungeon without wearing my black hand outfit.

at some point you do get a assasins robe with 100% chameleon... that plus a certain mask and quite fairly you can get away with almost anything...

My friend Gogron gro-Bolmog wishes to dispute that. ;)

when logic or random thoughts get thrown in the mix its just a matter of time before someone gets proved wrong

Yea, well look what ended up happening to him huh? I ended up killing him {And everyone else in the sanctuary for that matter...} which goes to show how much his beleifs paid off {See? Because he like....died}. I think that settles the dispute right there.

Not really. I'd hardly call that a standard assassination, especially given that he was the target rather than the assassin, so whether he was wearing DB armour is of no consequence.
red1970 on 30/10/2006 at 03:43
None of this matters....I tried the Db stuff. I wasn't impressed. The "Grey Cowl" kicks butt. You can use it with any other combo of armour and still kill anything and anybody. Dark Brotherhood is great as you get all the money for being the Listener, but being the Grey Fox is better.

You got to be kidding me, the black hand outfit which not only makes you a better sneak, but a better bowmen {Ultimate weapon of the assassin!} for an oh so much more powerful hit when performing a sneak attack, with the added pay check of course. Grey Cowl, all you get is a boost when sneaking, which is usually good, but as you level and become a much more natural sneak, it becomes relativley useless. DB forever and ever.

I dont know, there's something to be said about the detection on it that lets you see through walls. And who says you can't wear the cowl with the db armor?
Gorgonseye on 31/10/2006 at 23:42
Well you CAN, and it does allow you to detect life beyond walls depending how far away the creature/person is, but...the cowl isn't very fashionable....:(
