It's good to see MsLedd posting more again. We haven't had a single curling iron in the arsehole conversation around here since the big Blowdryer Colonectomy thread of '04.

I thought I found a winner when I saw a Superman costume with the instructions "Do not attempt to fly in suit." But I think the curling iron in an orifice just may edge it out.

why not just buy a thing of real ephedrine?
MsLedd on 23/6/2009 at 04:25
Ephedrine is illegal in the US (same reason, meth). In the UK, I think it's a super-restricted prescription only thing.

He was trying to play off the "pseudo" thing MsLedd. Dontcha know Andy's got mad skillz when it comes to shit like that?

I'm sure ephedrine is used in the US, but in specific circumstances and not as a decongestant (it can't be outright illegal). I'd like to see someone try, lol. No, no I wouldn't, because that would be bad.

Ephedrine has the OH group with the opposite chirality to pseudoephedrine. I think it has much stronger effects on the brain compared to pseudoephedrine so you don't really want to take it to decongest yourself.
Interesting those pictures of the US packets, same tagline but diferent name, while here its the same name and different tagline. I'm not sure what the "MAXIMUM STRENGTH" is about though? I guess if its only sold at once strength you can say its maximum...
SubJeff on 23/6/2009 at 07:39
You don't want to take it because its a vasoconstrictor and causes hypertension and you don't want a stroke.
SubJeff on 23/6/2009 at 12:48
Hey AR, can you tell me what concentration or % that ephedrine you have is? I've just never seen it sold in liquid form as a decongestant on its own, though it can be found in combination with other stuff for hayfever and so on.
Ephedrine is not a controlled drug in the UK. Not in an opiate or benzos sort of way certainly.
