Spiderweb Software have just released a
Geneforge series bundle onto Steam at a bargain bin price. (Well a bargain by Spiderweb Software standards.)
(
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/12171/)
$19.99 USD normally, 20% off if you purchase before Nov 10th ($15.99).
EDIT:-
Sorry Matthew, no Mac versions for you. (
http://www.spiderwebforums.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=249492#Post249492) Vogel says that it's infeasible to put them on Steam.
Quote:
Due to complicated technical reasons, we are unable to put the Mac Geneforge games on Steam. Sorry about that. We know it sucks.
(Short explanation for the tech-savvy: Their system cannot handle Macintosh files with resource forks, and our older games are full of those. It would take a ton of reworking to get them to work, and we don't have time.)

Some pretty sweet deals on zavvi indeed. I got Halo Reach for 13 euros. The new Driver game looked tempting at that price as well but I'll wait a bit with that one.

The new Driver game is absolutely brilliant and I can guarantee you you're going to love it. Having said that, I got it for ~15 USD, so you could wait for a further price fall if you've got other games vying for your attention.

I loved Driver: SF. They went back to what made the first game fun and added some nifty modern refinements to the gameplay to keep it from being to archaic and overly simple.

That's a good 300 hours of gaming right there:P
I played well into the first Geneforge and really liked it, but got stuck on something or just drifted away and never finished it. Now I fear that I don't really have time for those sorts of RPGs unless they're the GREATEST THING EVER. Neither does creator Jeff Vogel, which is somewhat amusing.
