If you don't already have it, buy this game. It's simply superb, and absolutely crazy value at this price. Or you could buy it for $20 direct from 2dboy.com, and give more of your dollars to them instead of Valve. (BTW, 2D Boy have versions for OSX and Linux, as well as Windows).

Oh look, yet another Steam weekend deal that makes GOG.com's equivalents seem like a big joke in comparison.
Last week we saw what, Oddworld 1 + 2 pack for 75% off, under $5 USD? GOG.com had a weekend deal for that same bundle a month or so ago, offering a whopping $3 USD off.

While you may have a point, however sneeringly put, I wonder if it isn't the competition from smaller players like GOG.com that partly prompts Steam to have these big sales?

Surely the whole point of GOG is to make a back catalogue of
good old games available.
Inevitably there's some overlap with the titles available on Steam, but let's not start bad mouthing GOG because they can't compete price-wise with such a large entity on certain games.

I'm sure most of us here have heard about the $10 Best Buy deal that is underway. It seems, unfortunatly, that most stores have already been ransacked! Infact, when I went to my local Best Buy today for lunch they only had 2 games left and I was interested in neither of them.
Have no fear! You can still get these games for $10 my furry little friends. Here is what I did.
I grabbed one of the BB ads at the store, had the nice BB employee print out the entire list of games since the add only shows about 10-15 of them, and then headed on over to my local Gamecrazy. Not only did they pricematch all the games I wanted, they also accepted the entire list that super-nice BB guy hooked me up with.
I picked up these for $50:
- Fracture
- Hellboy: The Science of Evil
- Overlord: Raising Hell
- Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3
- Igor The Game

I already have a big-box copy, actually :p So I'll probably give these other two versions away. At least, once I finally get round to posting out those other games from last October (sorry guys :erm:).

Does gamersgate mean horrible drm like steam? And what about direct to drive? or actually it seems only that gamersgate has the offer (although not exactly what they advertise :laff:)
