Fallout Collection is currently on sale at $5 USD for 75% off as the Steam daily deal.

I suggest that you get it now before Interplay are no longer allowed to legally sell it.
Is that an impending likelihood? I imagine it'll affect all digital retailers, if so?

And even if that were the case, all 3 games can be had for cheap on Steam and GoG both.

Not an impending likelihood. An impending inevitability.

Ah, interesting/sad. Given that there aren't any Bethesda games on GOG, I'll presume they'll be disappearing from there in due course, which will be a shame.

GOG is doing flash sales ALL THE TIME today.
With the hilarious caveat that ALL allocated copies of a game must be sold before the next one becomes available, which caused the grinding 4.5 hour doom that was the "flash sale" of 100 copies of "Jack Keane 2", during which more than 2,000 comments were posted by agonised shoppers who were waiting to find out what the next game was going to be.
Jack Keane 2 might well be a perfectly fine game, but poor Jack is surely now the most hated man on GOG. So much rage. (Also acts of heroism, as people actually purchased the game ($12) solely to help get rid of it. Who knows how many of those 100 sales were "taken for the team"?)
Sample comment, somewhere around the four hour mark:
Quote:
Jack Keane 2 sale, Day 47: I've begun to give up hope of ever being saved. While ships pass this secluded island frequently, none seem to respond to my smoke signals. More and more I consign myself to my fate.

http://www.gog.com/game/jack_keane_2_the_fire_within#reviews=1) 74 reviews of Jack Keane 2 on GOG.com. About 70 of them were posted during the sale (mostly with five-star ratings, in an attempt to make the game more attractive to anyone not taking the time to read the text -- I understand the game gained a star during that time period).

***** Cured my son!

I should preface this by saying that I've been having a lot of trouble with my son. Recently, he's discovered the wide world of the internet as well as computer gaming, and he hasn't been listening to his mother or myself at all.
Jack Keane, your Fire Within has cleansed my son of all desire to turn on a computer from this day forth! He cleaned his room, did the dishes, and wept as he said his prayers. When I asked what brought about the change, he screamed through the raining tears, "JACK KEANE! JACK KEANE!"
Bless you, Jack Keane...

Also, it seems like deals repeat after a while...
As far as I can tell, this is mostly an experiment by GOG to see if they can sell more (including low selling titles) by enticing users with a potential free game/a heavily discounted game from their wishlist as the next deal.

Bundle Stars has (
https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/all-stars-5-bundle) the following bundle on offer for just 2 bucks (price raises in 2 days):
Painkiller: Black Edition
Planetary Annihilation - Digital Deluxe Commander Bundle
100% Orange Juice
Divekick
Universe Sandbox
Silence of the Sleep
Rise of the Triad (2013)
Town of Salem
Painkiller alone is totally worth it.
That's an awesome deal. I recall not being as fond of Painkiller back in the day as most people seemed to be, but for 24 cents (€) I think I can give it another chance. Silence of the Sleep and Divekick look good too. Thanks for the heads up!

Wow, the first post in this thread since 2013. :D Perhaps this could just be merged with the Great Bargain Deals thread...?

Eh, I don't know why we needed this thread in the first place. Might as well just unpin it and let it drop off the first page.

Oh, wow, I thought henke's post was from last November but not quite. I guess the initial rationalization for this thread must've been to avoid drowning the deals in random chatter, but that doesn't seem to have happened anyway.
