That is a HELL of a deal. Especially if you have none of the games already. Jeez, the STALKER game alone is worth a tenner.

Hmmm, do they have a deal on the whole lot? I didn't see anything, but I could be dense and missed it. Either way, wtf!?!? That is a hell of a sale. The thing I like about it most? That it isn't just putting the lot of sale for a plain old $2 each. But this way, requiring a self-made bundle of 5 seems it will possibly be introducing a player to a game he might never have even so much as glanced at. But I see people rolling the dice on word-of-mouth games they haven't played, and possibly even becoming fans.
When a game gains new players, those players first post 'Help me I'm a n00b' threads in the forums, and later talk about the plot and gameplay. Those threads tend to make the old fans creak to life and post back and forth with the new guys. Pretty soon, you see a map., or even a mod, pop up. Maybe the game's multiplayer gets a decent playerbase? All sounds good to me, even if it was unintentional on GOG's part.SS

Pick 5, pay $10, X4 times. Viola! all games for $40. Sounds like a sweet deal to me. No DRM even more delicious.
n00bs!, Breakfast of Champions! :p

(
http://www.humblebundle.com/) The Humble THQ Bundle
* Darksiders
* Metro 2033
* Red Faction Armageddon
* Company of Heroes
* Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
* Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
* And Saints Row 3 if you pay more than the average.
Pretty nice deal.
faetal on 29/11/2012 at 19:25
Yep, I just paid $6 for the lot. Only 2 games I didn't have (SR3, Darksiders), but still worth it for those.
Sulphur on 29/11/2012 at 19:29
Unfortunately, it's all Steam keys, and I own all the games. I'd pay for the ability to decouple the games from Steam, but that's not happening.
Also, fodder for discussion: THQ ain't exactly humble, are they. They are in trouble, though. Maybe they should rename it to the Humble Fundle Bundle or something.
june gloom on 29/11/2012 at 21:29
THQ are definitely in trouble, and need all the help they can get. They ought to consider throwing a coupon for Last Light in there -- that'll get sales.
faetal on 30/11/2012 at 00:55
The average has only hit $5.64. That's obscene for what you're getting. I actually feel a little guilty after what Dethtoll said.
gunsmoke on 30/11/2012 at 02:29
Hey Sulphur... all of the other Humble Bundles give you direct dls of all the games as well as Steam keys if Valve sells the games there. Is this bundle different somehow?
Jason Moyer on 30/11/2012 at 03:48
"Please note: the Humble THQ Bundle is Windows-only and requires Steam to play."
