Blimey, ain't that like a big potential security loophole? Well, if I steal a CC from someone, I'll be sure to rack up mad bills on amazon!

...and have the stuff delivered where? :p

In this case the offers are digital downloads - they don't need to be physically shipped. I can only imagine they're relying on other mechanisms (e.g. "Verified by VISA") to limit the effect of card fraud. It does seem strange that given the paranoia associated with credit card company merchant services that they're allowed to use billing addresses that don't match the country that the credit card was registered in.

Al_B - yep it is strange, especially since most CC companies provide the address verification as part of the payment process, so why Amazon chooses to deliberately opt out of it is beyond me. I can't really think of any logical reason.

Well they'll sell more games if they keep the loophole open. Surely that's reason enough.

Picked up Nox in the EA sale on gog.com. I don't normally play those kinds of games, but for that price I'll give it a shot, many people say it was unfairly overlooked and actually pretty good if not very deep on RPG mechanics and storyline depth.

I really wanted to like Nox a lot more than I did. I had fun for quite a while, but it eventually became just a chore to play towards the end. Great art style and a memorable game overall, but it and Titan Quest just wore out their welcome with me after a while,

Has Amazon fixed the whole US billing address loophole for us foreigners? It got stuck trying to process my order, and finally said "Sorry, processing is taking longer than expected. Please do not reorder this item. Game and Software downloads go through extra verification that may take up to 4 hours."
How sad, if so.
EDIT: false alarm, got a confirmation about 15 minutes later.
