I haven't played Arcania, but I'd say Risen is more Gothic 3 than Gothic 3 is.

What Sulph said. It is unrecognizable as a Gothic game, was slapped together by JoWood, not Piranha Bytes. That witch is sure no Sagitta, eh? Oh and they are so unoriginal, you even have to get herbs for her, just like Sagitta.
