I figured I might as well buy it- who knows when I could see these things on sale again. I'm not an RTS fan but for WW2 I'm willing to learn.
Vernon on 8/9/2010 at 18:26
It's a very good RTS. Hit me up on steam for a game. US-Aus ping doesn't matter unless you're micro-good (and in CoH, I'm not. In fact I'm terrible at CoH. I can just about hold off middle-rung players for 15 mins)

I am having fun with the Single-player. When I get ready for Multi-player, what is your Steam name, Vernon?
Vernon on 9/9/2010 at 10:05
We played Alien Swarm together a while back my steam name is probably the most offensive one on your friends list
edit: how come more of you don't use #thief on starchat? Is it because all they talk about is vappu and what they had for breakfast? It would be pretty easy to corral a few players for games through there though I guess that's what Steam is for

OOHHH, ok. I couldn't piece together who that was, I just knew you were in the KRU, and I friend anyone from the TTLG groups.

Pretty much, I quit going on mIRC once I started using Steam to launch all of my games and they got the Community/friends lists working properly.

Yeah, given the kind of people on my friends list, Vernon's assertion may or may not be true at any given moment.
gunsmoke on 9/9/2010 at 11:31
Yeah, sNeaksieGarrett, Vernon and I played Alien Swarm together for the first time. I have yet to go back to it, as I can never find anyone else to play with. Wish the game at least had SOME semblance of a single-player mode. Hell, make it like R6 where the squad is A.I. controlled, but allows you to switch to control any of the characters anytime on the fly in order to do class-specific actions.
*on topic* I lost my SWAT 4 discs somewhere in the move, and I almost swooped in on the SWAT 4 for $6 deal on D2D...except it is the vanilla game only, and once you've played Stetchkov, it is tough to play without its improvements to the game. Gold is still $20, and Stetchkov alone is $10.

I think I would honestly settle for a singleplayer game that was less intense- i.e. you don't run into anything that's more trouble than you can handle with no help.

From the folks who brought you the Indie Love Bundle, (
http://www.cipherprime.com/) Cipher Prime, may I present the (
https://store.cipherprime.com/bundles/summerlovebundle/) The Summer Bundle of Love
The Summer-of-Love Bundle contains:
* AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - Dejobaan Games
* Brainpipe - Digital Eel
* Captain Forever - Farbs
* Cogs - Lazy 8 Studios
* Saira - Nifflas Games
* Space Giraffe - Llamasoft
As well, In addition to these games, the original Indie Bundle is for sale. Either bundle is $19.99. They can be purchased together for $29.99 as well. (
http://theindiebundle.com/) Go buy these games.
Intriguing.
Brainpipe is neat. It's a fairly small arcade game, but quite compulsive, and even after you've mastered it, it's still a great way to kill a few minutes. A lot of love went into the audio, but it also works a treat if you kill the music and play other music in the background. Nice to see it here.
I don't have any of the others (or did I buy Cogs cheaply in a Steam sale?), so it's a bit tempting (although I know I decided against a few of these at their regular price, so I'm not 100% sure).

I have IGI installed on this laptop, but I cannot remember if I still have IGI 2 or not. God, that game was HARD> I may snag it anyway.
