DO IT. I don't care if it is 20$. It is still worth it. Even if zero mods work. The original is just that damn good. Worry about mods later, just play the game already.

I know, I know...I'm ashamed of it myself, honestly. But now I really do have no excuse. I tried to play a little of IW a few years back, but it ran so horribly on the computer I had (and it was on loan from a friend, too) that it was unplayable.

I would suggest checking somewhere other than steam if you can stand it, but it sure is tempting to buy off there since it is so cheap.

Why? Steam is great. What's the problem? And what alternative source do you suggest, out of curiosity?

Bioshock on Hard difficulty and with Vitachambers off provides the most enjoyment out of the game, IMO. For one you're encouraged to be more conservative with your resources (Eve hypos mainly) and use Plasmids more actively/strategically. A far more rewarding experience.

@gunsmoke: Clearly you don't understand what steam is then. With steam, you are forced to use said product on it.. you have to have it running to play. Not to mention, you need an internet connection... and blah blah blah. I guess you havent' seen cardia's steam thread eh?

Alternative source? Anywhere other than steam - say, amazon, ebay, whatever.

Don't get me wrong, steam is still a pretty good service, but it's got some problems. I'm trying to buy games that can only be obtained on steam, otherwise I'll buy elsewhere. At least I'll try anyway
