Has anyone else received email asking for permission to distribute your FM?
Quote:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm Paolo Besser from The Games Machine magazine, Italy. I'd like to put on our covermounted DVD ROM Fan Mission(s) you've developed for Thief: Deadly Shadow, but, since you have chosen the "Distribution of this level is allowed as long as it is free and the package is kept intact. You may not include this level to any map pack without my permission." way, I think I need to ask for your permission first: I'm reralising a compilation of missions by different authors. :-)
May I proceed? Please answer as soon as possible. Thank you, and my best regards

Hehe! That's pretty cool!!! Damn I didn't finish mine until now... ;)

Interesting, I don't think I have had an email regarding GarrettLoader for this (although they may not be providing it with the DVD). In any case I would be interested in getting a copy of the mag if it is on there....Anyone in Italy?

Holy shit, someone actually asking if they can put the FM on to a cover disc. Usually they don't bother and just bluntly ignore any copyright stuff.

I agreed too. And they send me one copy of magazin with that DVD. It´s shame i don´t speak italian

I agreed aswell. Hopefully I wasn't too late. I do have a new beta version ready for download (I wish I had had time to test it first).

Well done chaps. If mags have a habit of dumping stuff on coverdisks, have some TDS missions appeared elsewhere?
joebarnin on 25/1/2006 at 22:22
I agreed as well. I do appreciate being asked...

Yeah, they asked me too and I agreed. I nearly had second thoughts about it as I still haven't got around to fixing it up, but oh well.
Nice of them to ask. :)

Yeah, my composition instructor was excited about it. It's like: Wow, a Western Oregon University composition student is finally doing something
outside of school!
I just finished e-mailing him a bunch of links about the Labyrinth (and the tutorials I wrote with the french translations, & the Thief Fan Mission FAQs). An article might be posted here:

My instructor is Dr. Walczyk BTW.
He also used my iMovie project as an example for his music & technology class:

This may be too much info for this thread but I'm supposed to do some shameless self-promotion ;)
