I expect the next project will require 3 written references and a photocopy of your driving licence.

and a signed letter from God, written in blood

I only have one reliable reference and don't drive.:(
And if they want a letter from god written in blood, I hope he bleed properly.:ebil:
Still, it does all seem a little paranoid.

What's going on there? When trying to get through the "wormhole" to the baron's home the game crashes. I can move a small sword looking pointer (same one used when bringing up the map), but the fog stops moving and the Baron's place does not come

Strange new problem. :p
Maybe a corrupt zip? (Most likely if crashing during map load.) Try a fresh download.
How are you installing the game?
Did the first half run okay?
Which entrance did you use?

I have no wireless where I'm at and am using my AT&T's tethering (personal hotspot) for any internet, and downloading a 400+ Mb file ain't gonna happen so that will have to wait till I get home
I don't believe the file is corrupt the rest of the game works just fine, even quick-load.
I play the game thru Garrett Loader 1.41

I can move a small sword looking pointer (same one used when bringing up the map), but the fog stops moving and the Baron's place does not come. I've tried both entrances. The one on the street with the guards overhead and the one in the basement under the street/house.
On another note:
Cabal part 3 - Is there a rope arrow or something I need to find to progress from the beginning? Been running around for quite a while and can't get any further from the docks, tavern. I'm guessing I need to get to the area with the gate and the guard, but how do I do that without a rope arrow?
