In SS1, what exactly is Shodan doing to the hacker when he appears to be going blind in cyberspace? Is Shodan getting inside the hacker's head, uploading a copy of itself to the hacker's cyberspace interface, or just chipping away at his integrity? It is chilling to see the full image of Shodan briefly flash during the fight.
The SS2 fight with Shodan seems cheesy by comparison, with the roaring laughter, and the projection that looks like Medusa with all the wires projecting from its head. Does anybody feel differently?

My guess would be shodan's playing a mind game with him with the image of her face fading in and temporarily blinding the h-h-h-h-h-hacccckkkeeerrrr. :laff:
SS2 though, yeah it's cheesy in comparison BUT the way I see it,it was more then likely for a reason.Like the confrontation you have with the "voice" of the Many is a bit tougher (well depending on the person's skill level so atm it's just opinions) meaning killing off the voice of the many = tearing the major problem limb from limb while Fighting Shodan = Your pants being haunted by ghosts :cheeky:

I took it as being SHODAN either uploading herself into your interface or otherwise doing something that would effectively 'lobotomise' you into cyborg servitude.

From what I seen it's more of a mind game then lobotomising the player into cyborg servitude. But it's just an opinion cause I haven't beat her in SS1 yet. Atm I can't run the game (Won't install correctly for some reason and just simply taking the files from the CD into the C: drive disables sound.)

Don't think so, but I won't spoil the end for you.
