It looks like the penis of an albino horse.
OhIdon'tknow ..... from the trailers I've seen I think the movie looks like fun.
P.S. I thought you were dead.

Maybe if you like 2 minutes worth of lens flare and Michael Bay-esque stupidity.

The trailers are appallingly lowest common denominator, but aren't they all? This movie is actually probably going to be pretty good, though--at least the advance buzz is solid.

God damn, Onion video is just about the best thing to happen to the world since the Cambrian explosion.
"Gene Roddenberry is the hack who created the original series the forties or something"
"The studio released a statement telling fans not to worry and that in a few years the new film would seem just as dated and cornball as any of the others"

My favorite part was the nerds being angry that the Klingons were subtitled because it meant that they could be understood by people who had never learned their imaginary language.
(well, aside from the cut-out line at the very very end)

I got my ticket for tomorrow. :D
Thinking about it, it's actually the first Trek I'm going to see in theaters.

First off, if any of the mods are reading this could we have someone create a single new thread for reviews/opinions? It would save us all a lot of time trying to sort out pre-release from post-release comments.
Has anyone ever heard anything about audio problems in DLP movies? I'm having trouble deciding whether to see this is standard- or digital-projection, which really should be a no-brainer, but the both Chronicles of Narnia and Master and Commander had no surround-sound to them at all, and I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this problem. The theatreplex has no such issues with its conventional theatres, before you ask. Those of you who remember the storm scene in M&C might understand the depths of my rage when I stalked out of the theatre afterwards: to have such an incredible sequence be completely castrated by gutless, tinny-sounding audio coming from the front speakers only had my angry enough to hit somebody. A personal problem, I'll be the first to admit, but I'd rather not be robbed again.

This seems as good a place as any to note that Amazon is slashing the prices of Star Trek TV DVD sets until the 15th.
