Damn, I saw little clips of the trailer on TV last night. I know I'm a pessimist by nature, but what I'm seeing has me cringing for what could be a huge train wreck.
Also, what is with the whites and blues for ship's bridge? I really don't know what sci-fi set designer's obsession with blue and purple is, especially since the HCI class I took spent a decent amount of time going over why blue is such a bad color for anything you want to be able to focus on clearly. I mean, I don't think I've seen a ship's design this bad since the Battlestar Galactica remake. The harsh, florescent blue lighting on that show sometimes makes me want to claw my eyes out.

This movie is going to piss me off because of all the little things I can pick out of it that are wrong.
AND its going to thrill me because of all the things it does right.
