Myself, I think veiling yourself is not a positive thing and I would say that in its original context which considered that the natural state of women was as predatory sexual creatures who needed to be protected from themselves is total bullshit.
But what that article was saying and what I found interesting, and I've come across this before, most recently in a program called Muslim Driving School about older women in the Muslim community starting to drive, was these things are more nuanced than some people seem to think.
