Well, that's why. Our box rental fee is ~7$/month. It comes with a lot of features, OnDemand movie rental (including hundreds upon hundreds of free TV shows and movies), that Urge music station stuff, and the aforementioned channel listings. There is a ton of other shit, but I don't work for a cable company...anyway, look into it if they ckill your TV guide channel.

The point is that people who think they're enlightened and above television and feel the need to let everyone else know are jackasses (hint: that includes you). Yes, most TV is shit but I happen to like shit so eat a dick.

(
http://www.titantv.com/) Titantv.com All you need to do is setup your account with zipcode, cable/satellite/etc. They have all your listings for your type of tv service, and have information for every show they list. I use it a lot, because I have a tv tuner in my computer. I just click the show I want to record, and boom, automatically scheduled to record.
But this titantv.com makes a good generic tv guide as well.

You should probably try again because I LOVE television shows, I just find that actually watching them on TV just seems to be outdated. Yeah I understand that some shows are more difficult to find online, but I do think that the hulu approach is where ALL TV should be going. I only ever touch my TV for DVD's and gaming now.
Talking shit on the internet is fun, too, though.

The only thing is, we don't
need all that stuff. We would only have basic cable if it weren't for my grandmother wanting to watch stuff that doesn't come with the basic package. With the economy in the state that it's in (and with me being in college), we're cutting expenses everywhere we can; adding 7 dollars a month is a pretty big deal.

Interesting; I'll check it out if the listings disappear again.
