Matt Booty says he visited Bethesda and saw The Elder Scrolls VI in action. The game is said to look “great,” and development is reportedly making good progress. However, Matt Booty gives no indication in the interview as to when the first trailer or even the game’s launch might be expected. The Elder Scrolls VI is one of the most hotly anticipated games currently in development. Since we also know that Obsidian is officially developing a new Fallout game, the next few years could see the return of two of the biggest Bethesda games to the limelight. This is a great development for the next-gen Xbox Helix which will need to have some killer exclusive games early in its lifecycle to get a strong start.

Finally, if you noticed carefully, Asha Sharma redacts the name of The Elder Scrolls VI. It seems to be eight characters long. So, we can't wait read up on all the fan speculation about what the title could be.

The Elder Scrolls 6 release date in late 2027 possible, leaks former contractor

An anonymous poster who claims to have worked for Bethesda has updated fans. As part of a freelance engine house, they recognized that The Elder Scrolls 6 was “nearly asset complete” in early 2025. With the tasks remaining, the developer thinks the game could ship before the end of 2027.
