I hope that's not another Monty Python reference, heh.
I'm going to buy the magazine and scan it, then send everyone but Striker a link :cheeky:
(Or read it in the store and not have to dish out the money for it. Yes, I am that cheap.)

As opposed to me, who is an Australian and also can't get the Mag?
I bet you looked at them all before you removed them. Oh well, I saw some from another site :p Very amazing graphics.

Well i seen ppls buy games becuz it look cool on the box or packages, what a worm. Too bad they dont read the details what the programs got to offer and not mention those who dont read the manual.
The art of selling based on the pretty pictures on the packages!

The biggest question on IV, will it have multiplayers on it?
MW would've made a terrible Multiplayer game.
Not to sound WoW fanboish, but WoW is MW done right as an MMO.
SpireofSouls on 15/10/2004 at 02:49
Well if they can keep ppls from hacking and make the servers or multiplayers stable for all players it could be interesting, but gotta start somewhere and keep improving the ideas.
Hope it dont end up like WoW or D2, it was boring as hell and not mention those hackers/spammers. Guess Bnet and/or Blizz not doing a good job back then. Gave up D2, was too easy and get boring after several months of gameplay.
Dunno about Everquest, i remember back in late 90's had to pay up to play. Wasnt so happy with that. Everquest still growing and chargin more on fees. Then we got Shadowbane around the corner. Blah all they want is money, money. Screwed them!
Only good Multiplayer CRPG i know of is NWN, pretty popular and its free to play online. If you are lucky to find great server(s) or mods go for it. Only problems is gotta have the main program and those two expansions, cost quite a bit.

It's interesting when people complain about hackers and lack of continual update on a free game, then complain about monthly charges about another. All in the same post.
Bnet is a free gaming service, I'm not aware of many other companies offering such a free hosting of so many players worldwide with their games for so long. Can you not play Warcraft II on bnet still?
While I think a stiffer stance on cheating may have been better, they were working with no income for Bnet, it was free.
WoW will likely see a $12.95 a month charge, a palty price to pay. Hell, I blew $22 tonight on a concert that I didn't even enjoy! That's nearly two months worth of WoW. Granted I don't think the concert was a good thing to spend money on, but you get my point in comparing a small monthly charge like that to other things.(Hah, if the beta servers weren't down I probably would've stayed home and played WoW anyhow).
Shadowbane isn't 'around the corner' It's been released for over a year now. It had some great ideas but terrible implementation, I was in the lead guild of the game for the first six months and I had a lot of fun, but it was a terrible game overall. A quality game with a pvp heavy stance would be really fun for me, but wouldn't appeal to many people.
NWN is a good quality game.

I have to concurr, NWN is a great game. Unfortunately, I've only had the pleasure of playing it and the first expansion. Still, it kept me busy for quite a while, got me interested in thief characters, and was an overall well-made game. It didn't last as long as Morrowind, but hey, so what?
As a rule, I don't play the "Pay to Play" games. Why? I don't have a job, I don't have any money, and I'd probably get addicted. Or get bored and later discover I blew a good $100 on the game and a few months of gameplay.
Though I admit, just hold back. Skip dinner a few days a week and you'll never miss that $12.95 ;)
Tuco on 16/10/2004 at 05:53
I think people having rules of 'I won't pay 12.95 for a game per month' is rather silly.
Depending on your gaming habits, you could be saving money by playing online. I know people(probably not Ryushi! =) who can go through games and buy a new one every month.
But really $12 a month is pennies(like 40 a day!) Hell, if you get $100 cash on your birthday that's 8 months of playtime.

That's me all the way. I have a short attention span. Also, I spend all my money on chicks and booze.
I did finally check out WoW though, and it surprised me. It looks a lot better than I thought if would. No, it hasn't changed my mind. But it's still a great looking game. Tell me how it turns our for you, Tuco.
