Yeah, you heard right! Head over to the (
http://www.elderscrolls.com/) Official site for a bit of info and cover shot of the Game Informer mag.

HORSEY!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D
I can't wait...not to be ungrateful but I hope the development process isn't as long as that of Morrowind.
Game Informer....I don't think that magazine is available in the UK, more's the pity. *sulks* Gimme my ES IV fix!

:tsktsk: Just as our pc's are starting to cope with ES3:Morrowind.
No doubt the new engine will be 10fps on a 3.06 ghz P4 with Gf46800. Woo-hoo.

Considering that it's 2 years away I wouldn't doubt it.
Morrowind was a great game, but it still chugs along like a pregnant slug even on my new graphics card.

For some reason, the "ingame art" of the cover of that magazine does literally nothing for me.
Dunno if I've become more pretentious or what, but this whole style.. so loud, so macho, so American, so unreflective, it just sorta disgusts me? The game isn't really saying anything interesting?
What I'd be really intrigued by would be concrete details, like living cities and factions that you can influence, and a gameplay concept that allows you to a lot more than just becoming a god like figure and killing everyone, or pissing your life away in aesthetic indulgence.

Bethsoft's decision to do a 'countdown' for this was more than a little crass. An announcement of an announcement of an announcement....

oRGy, I would totally agree if that's the final philosophy of the game - an odious worship of powering up and collecting shiny baubles. That cover art is rather mediocre, but it is very reminiscent of typical CRPG art from the 80s - so I don't see it as presenting any differently from what we've always had. Perhaps our expectations are different now....

Something of an anticlimax, I agree. Hell, I'm not sure I can get Game Informer. Still, I'm sure information will trickle out.
As for the art... it's a magazine cover. Game Informer probably picked it, probably. It doesn't exactly convey anything about the game (except, perhaps the presence of horses, something lacking in most of the current generation of RPG's) The first image I ever saw of Morrowind was something similar, as I recall.

Totally sucks that magazine got exclusive rights. That's 12 pages of information i'll never read (it doesn't get published here). If someone comes along a digital version of it, i'd be very grateful for a link or an attachment or whatever. A PM would be most appretiated.

The Game Informer article may be an exclusive now, but I bet it won't be long before other mags have similar features :)
Horsey...... :D
