This is a wiki-site. Which means that you are invited, encouraged, and
expected to help improve it by making your own page edits whenever you see the opportunity.
Developer DiariesThe Society of Thieves -- a sub-section of The Dromesday Book, is a place where editors can create pages of their own (game-related) interests. It's a great place to write your blog.

I look forward to contributing soon, and visiting regularly once the wiki is brimming with useful information. :D

I finally got around to adding some of my tutorials to this. It's a far better and more efficient way to cross-reference everything than the evil, unnavigatable mess that is my website.
I had a bit of trouble getting it to format the text how I wanted, since it seems to just ignore manual line breaks unless they are paragraph breaks, and I couldn't work out the code to put them in manually.
I also noticed that most of the tutorials on my website are totally out of data, and most can be done much easier with the use of custom scripts or more advanced techniques that have since been discovered. :sigh:
Also, I've started some sort of organisation for a reference section for properties, links and scripts, though I haven't actually added anything to it yet. Basically, I'm linking to pages for properties using the format: [[DromEd:Property:AI_Team]], to links using the format [[DromEd:Link:ControlDevice] and to scripts using the format [[DromEd:Script:TweqOnOff]]. Not sure if this is how it's supposed to be organised or not, and this should probably be decided before too much more is added.

This looks really great. I registered and hope to contribute what I can. I've just never worked a wiki before so I need to learn how. I don't want to screw things up.:o

Mmmm, except the links don't work for me... at least on the Dromed page. If they are links.... No, I give in, gotta go.
Nameless_Voice on 10/11/2006 at 16:04
You mean all the links I put into my tutorials, to information that doesn't exist yet?
They don't work because those sections haven't been written!
Basically, if the link is in red, then the article it points to doesn't exist. (Yet!)

Sweet! Is it too much to ask this topic be sticky?

Put \\ where you want a break. Everyone should read wiki:syntax before writing a page.
Please remember to use a summary line. It's very helpful when I hit "Recent Changes" to see what's happening at a glance.
And headers -- Always use headers. 90% of how wikis work is automatic formatting based on headers.
(BTW, I changed my mind on the spelling of "Dromed".. not "DromEd". Looks better when you say.)

That's the good thing about a wiki -- All changes are recorded and can be rolled-back when necessary.

Actually telliamed I was thinking about that last night too. But there's too many stickies right now. I'm going to see about reducing that number and then giving this thread the stick.

Umm... am I the only one who gets "This page is read only. You can view the source, but not change it. Ask your administrator if you think this is wrong."? Do I need to enable ActiveX controls or something?
