Reminds me of that old Carmageddon comic
I had to look this one up myself. You mean (
http://www.tozzer.com/carm/1.htm) this one, right? I don't know if it's just that I've had my expectations lowered by that Doom comic or what but the Carmageddon one is actually good! :D

I'm actually quite surprised this hasn't been posted before.

My only logical response is a stream of expletives. Seriously, AAAAAAARRRGHHH.

Then I'll have to check it out, because that's awesome.

What I find fascinating about this Doom comic is its striking similarity to the comics I wrote during my formative years. All the hallmarks are there: the making-it-up-as-I-go-along plot that lurches in lopsided fits from one combative encounter to another, the constant stream of cringe-worthy "YO I'M A COOL BAD ASS" narration from the unlikable protagonist, to even the very fact that it's based upon a video game. In fact, the only real difference is the absence of Doom's graphic violence in my comics, due solely to the fact that my drawing skills weren't up to the challenge of rendering snapping, bloody vertebrae.
But still, virtually identical writng styles.
I was eleven at the time.
