The Deus Ex world vs. the World of Darkness - by Deiyen

Any of you familiar with White Wolf's Vampire: The Masquerade RPG? Either the PnP or the computer game from Nihilistic.
Anyway, I've been replaying Deus Ex, and does anyone think the DX world is very similar to the World of Darkness? The only difference I find is the theme. Where DX is more technology and science-fiction, the World of Darkness is more darkness and fantasy.
Quote:
From the Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption manual
"The world of Vampire: The Masquerade is not our own, though it is close enough for fearsome discomfort. Rather, the world... is like ours, but through a looking glass, darkly. Evil is palpable and ubiquitous in this world... and the whole planet teeters on a razor's edge of tension. It is a world of darkness.
Superficially, the World of Darkness is like the 'real' world we all inhabit. More present that in our world, though, is the undercurrent of horror - our world's ills are all the more pronounced in the World of Darkness. Its fears are more real. Its governments are more degenerate. Its ecosystem dies a bit more each night."
