Aero: if you're actually good friends with someone jumping in with their ex is both a poor move and a stupid one
What if your friend is Justin Timberlake and his ex is Cameron Diaz?

Same story.

Well that's the thing, my old friend was a prick, he'd insult me a lot and get jealous of things I had quite easily. I never considered him a very good friend, but apparently I was his best friend. I told him about me and Girly the day after I asked her out and he said it was fine and we hung out for about 4 hours. Then three days later I hear from someone else that he's all depressed about it and he's calling me an asshole behind my back to his parents and friends. I don't care what they think really, but it just makes it seem like he's trying to gain sympathy from this moreso than real emotion. Youd think a rational person would be trying to get over it rather than absorb themself in the situation right?
And he's still saying he's depressed about it nearly a month after it's all occurred. He's also stated to Girly that he'd been happy if she had gone out with any of his other friends except me. What is that all about? And he is still making her cry and blaming his sadness on her >: (

Well you didn't really need us then, to say good riddance to him, and Hello love and affection and regular sex for you.
Now that is another story but I had a similar friend once, with a similar girlfriend, although her name wasn't Girly but uh... Nelly. Anyway he would bitch behind my back about me and her after he found out, and well, I'll spare you the details of what he said, but it wasn't nice. What a friend! Even though I had seen her first! It was simply luck for him that I couldn't make a move at the time because my girlfriend was rather jealous. But like I said, it's a another story.
So good luck to you two lovebirds! Look forward, always forward, never back. :thumb:

Thank you I will :) It's nice to hear I'm not the only one who's been in a situation like this, it seems rather wide-spread.

Am I the only one who felt kind of... old while reading this ?
Duckman : The only thing I can say is you are young, live your life and don't think too much about consequences... as there are none anyway. Don't try to spare feelings, don't try to please, just think about yourself and what you want to do tomorrow.
There is one thing that is not clear to me though... Why your girlfriend is now upset ? What is this "whole thing" you are talking about in this case ?

Girly eh?

I hope you weren't expecting some sort of moral support, because what matters in the end is whether you have clean conscience.

Bros before Hoes.
Except in your case.
True love is indeed a rare butterfly of 9.

And stuff like this is exactly why I avoid dating all together. I just cant stand being the "monkey-in-the-middle," having to juggle between keeping a good friend or having a relationship that would most likely end in hurt feelings and slashed tires. Why worry about that shit when youve "got your whole life ahead of you?"
