The file should become available at some point, but the site, along with the forums recently had a big monster scary crash a splode, so it'll take some time for everything to be restored.

Just to add something into your thread Bulgar, if you don't mind, I'd like to mention that the 3dfix and all the other suggested cases where you should get rid of this error have failed on me. I recently reinstalled Thief - Gold again and played it with my Radeon 850x Pro successfully, but then the card it died on me. After switching to Nvidia's 7800GT I've been unsuccessful at running the game ever after, I even tried downgrading my drivers, but it didn't let me do that either (it says that my system and it's components are not suitable for the drivers).
I also tried switching off hardware acceleration and running the game with the 3dfix.exe and all that fancy stuff, but none of it worked. The same errors occur with T2, SS2 and TDP, so it's not just Thief - Gold where the problem lies.
Is there any chance NVIDIA would fix this goddamn problem at some point?
Currently I'm running the Omega (very popular customization for performance boosts) drivers for NVIDIA's second newest Forceware (169.25 I think), and I've tried downgrading to 77.72 and lower forceware versions. None of them let me do that, though.

All 3 games should work fine with the newest nV drivers if you use DDfix. I tried it for the first time few days ago and I have never had the games play so wonderfully before. No graphical glitches, no crashes, etc.

I think certain video cards won't run the game no matter how many patches or fixes get installed. Seems the newer cards fair worse. My Dell with an ATI radeon express won't run it. Installed ddfix, still no dice.
However my ancient thinkpad with I don't even know what vid card it has, runs it pretty well with no patches or fixes.
