I'm not gnashing my teeth over buying Doom 3. The plan always was to get a copy when DM was released.

Tis true, the latest patch is required.

I see the steam Doom 3 is just $20. Maybe in a year it will be down to $15 or even $10. It would be good to test whether it will work for Dark Mod (seems like it should though, unless something is funny with the steam files)
Then again, Steam TDS doesn't work for TDS FMs, does it?

$20 for Doom3 is a ripoff. I paid $12-15 for a used copy over a year ago.

Very cool. I like the rope arrow physics video, realistic in the way, you can't really climb up the rope when it's stuck into a crate, your weight would pull the crate down. Nice, coming along, enjoyed the vids. Tweak tweak. :D

I like the way it acted on the roof :thumb:
Once the arrow has been fired and the rope deployed, will the player be able to pull the arrow out again like in T1/2?

Of course. :)
Off the topic of rope arrows. I was blown away by Dram's latest work on his map. There is just so much beauty in the work he has done. I love the atmosphere in this pic.
