Those would be Oddity's high-poly arrow concepts, on which our ingame low poly arrows were based.
That Oddity has some serious talent! :thumb:

Those look pretty good! I wish my current PC could handle that many polys... For now I'll have to stick with somewhat low-poly stuff.

Yes! And he has also done a zombie.
Any news on that issue? Can we see a picture of his most recent zombie? Thanks. ;-)

So you can masturbate to it, no doubt.

The zombies are re-skinned doom 3 zombie models. If we had more character modelers, we might be able to produce our own custom zombies....but as it stands, a zombie is a zombie. They aren't very complicated.

I noticed there are two(2??) projects needing coders now?
Is there another project besides the DM that I do not know about ?
Sorry I dont have time to read 16 pages to see what I missed.
At any rate what kind of coders do you need anyway ? I know C/C++, windows GUI/MFC. I write utilitys and do some mud coding occasionally. I currently develop with visual studio 2005 pro.
If you are interested PM me although im not sure how much time I can put in at this time of year as im very busy.

The figure drawing class I'm in visited the campus medical school's morgue a few weeks ago. If I'd been thinking I could have taken some reference shots of cadavers, but I'd left my digital camera at home.
Visiting a room with dead bodies in it was far more disturbing in concept than the actual experience turned out to be.

@Thelvyn: Yes. I started a openDarkEngine project a year ago, which is targetted at the original levels and FM's. The plan is, briefly said, to write an open implementation of the original Dark Engine, improving compatibility and doing improvements. If you would like to help, you're gladly welcome (a link: (
http://opde.sf.net) opde.sf.net).
I assume DM is being written in C/C++ - like language too (Doom3 script, if I'm not mistaken), so if you're willing to help, the choice is up to you. I would gladly welcome you as a coder, that is for sure (and opde can be compiled in VC ;) ).

Doing that when I was in school was one of the most awesome things I've ever done.
There's plenty of pictures of this: (

Well, zombies tend to have many rotten appearances. Some have been infested with glowing fungi, others with maggots or earth worms.
Unfortunately, I do not have much experience in the field of character modeling, but nevertheless I tried my luck. Here is a (
