yes, we're planning to do something similar to T1/2's S&R, cauze it's a really well thought-out system. we talked about it and its possibilities quite a lot :)

I find this "plot" talk confusing. I thought the plan was to create a toolset for FM/campaign creation, not to make FMs. Isn't the campaign going to be a minor aspect of The Dark Mod? And therefore not actually be called "The Dark Mod"?
Are you primarily making a toolset or a campaign?

I'm quite sure their goal is to make a functional thief platform, then when it's done release it (probably along with some pretty little demo levels they used for testing) for everyone to use and make levels for and then start working on the Dark Mod campaign (most likely the first to be released FMs since they'll be the most familiar with the mod's mechanics)

The Dark Mod will be released as a toolset first and will have a couple of Demo missions to give a reasonable demonstration of what it is capable of. :)
After the toolset is released we will complete and release a campaign. No details on this yet as we are still very early in development of the toolset and need to focus our energies there.

That video was pretty awful. I'm not sure that kind of thing is going to give the Dark Mod the kind of image it probably deserves.
