Thanks Sparkhawk. I'll be leaving it up for a week or two, but if we want to leave it up after that I would appreciate it. :) I have a rather minimal hosting plan.

There has already been a website set up, but it has nothing on it.
What website have you been visiting? (
http://www.mindplaces.com/darkmod) has plenty of screenshots, concept art and models on it, and was updated to include information about frobbing less than a week ago!

I think he may mean people who are not registered with developer privilages. ;)
Yeah I did, sorry.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm yeah!
Just wanted to post this link so that community minds can wander and dream over what might someday be possible with the Dark Mod.
(note these shots are not Dark Mod - they're just straight Doom 3)
(note 2: at the time of posting, the author said it's not normal mapped yet, and of course it's not a "real" map - just for testing)
(note 3: prepare to crap your shorts)

Ooooooo, very nice!!! I can't wait for all the amazing Doom mod projects that will come out over the next few years, especially Dark Mod, but others too. Doom 3 engine has such HUGE potential, as seen a little in those shots!

Thanks. I didn't follow all the links, but the screenshots sure look nice.
You don't want to register on the dark mod?

Me? The team, or the forum? I'm registered at the forum, but if you mean the team... want to use PMs?
Edit: Also, a question for those who might know (coincidentally, most likely the people in this thread ;)) - "Haze" or heat wave (and water) effects apparently need a directx9 ready card. I've heard (or at least I think I've heard) that previous generation ATI cards have been made DX9 ready and capable with a driver revision.. does anything exist for previous gen nvidia? I have a GF4Ti4600. So far, I haven't seen anything the card can't do, albeit slower than the next gen cards. Is this perhaps "the thing it cannot do?"

I meant the team. Seems you are quite interested in the mod so if you wan to help we can always use more people.
