I'm rather puzzled by this. The updater (which is also used for new installs) downloads multiple files. If there is a disconnection during a download surely only the current file being downloaded is lost. You then run the updater again. It tests what uptodate files you already have and only downloads new/changed files. It surely doesn't try to download the whole of Dark Mod again?
However, this was not the case when Dark Mod was first released so perhaps that was the problem here. The updater has been greatly enhanced since then.

damn
yes,i missed it :(
thats why torrents and download managers are exist
yes, that what i mean by saying "leave computer work...
sorry for being rude, but this is your problem
i've also downloaded tdm in two days by leaving computer on sleep
and ? who cares ?
i'm talking about mod reviews.they are was actual when mod came out
now they are unavailing. In time when everybody can watch gameplay videos,or read existed review or play mod itself
If you'd pay attention, you'd know you are, indeed, one rude individual and actually are never sorry for that fact, and that the issue is not just my problem. Regardless of your feelings on important matters, I'll address anyone who casually asserts the simplicity of this in spite of the fact it is not easy for so many on these boards alone, and won't be easy without major changes to the availability of finances and/or tech. Your success has no bearing on those of us who are not so privileged or lucky and your arrogance does nothing to get TDM to more supportive players. I, and the other taffers in mind when I type this, care. And if you didn't, you'd shut up about it already.
And yeah, Fidcal, things are a lot faster and easier once the initial install is set up, but that first one is really something. The updater is great, but the sheer size of the initial install through crappy Internet...oof. Taffers setting up a CD-ROM mailing service might be necessary for those who wish to support you and join in, but are screwed on bandwidth and reliability.

True, but like a torrent...the updater now has the ability to 'resume' an install if it gets broken.

always ridiculous to read nowadays "OMG,GREAT JOB DUDES" threads on official TDM forums
Yeah, after working for years on a project, it's so tiresome when people show up and compliment you on your work. We just hate that.

Yeah this is a really great feature that should be advertised ... because it is such a big download and a lot of people will have to get it in pieces over time. It's not even a rare issue. It's something they thought directly about and did something to address.

Huh, after all that, not even a comment about the mod itself.

Well. :p

I wouldn't take offense.
I spent ages collecting all my favorite arcade ROMs for MAME. After all that effort, do I spend any time playing them? Not recently. I have this full feeling in my belly knowing that I have them all but the need to actually play them has waned.
I can't believe he didn't rave about the mission "Trapped!" though
