Genuine question: how would you find out whether the dark mod is interesting to players who have only played T3? Do you get many people giving you feedback who identify themselves as a "T3 player"?

Sure. There have been people who posted since release that they have little interest in TDM since they preferred TDS...but .at the same time, there are T1 / T2 players who feel TDM is too much like TDS for their liking...lol Essentially, they don't like the higher res textures and bump mapping. Sometimes, you just can't win.
Of course, there are TDS and T1 / T2 fans who enjoy TDM....but I guess what I was trying to say was that T4 will probably continue the divergence from the original titles that TDS started. If T4 is yet further removed from the style of T1 / 2, then i think TDM would be even harder for those new fans to swallow.

You're probably right, but if only a few percent of the unwashed masses flock to your mod, that might still be quite a few people.
It might be a good idea to have something to offer. (Says the person not volunteering to do any work.)

True, although it did sound like he was referring to someone who had the mod installed.
Yes, I was thinking of getting new people in who don't know much about the Mod. I'd have thought the "What is it?" along with "Download Dark Mod and missions here" would be the main thing for such people.
I do think the ability to download and install missions from inside TDM is a great feature, and a big improvement from the method available in the initial release. But showing the missions along with the Mod on the main page would advertise your work to the casual passer-by.
[BTW, the Mod homepage seems to be down.]

Hmmm, could be an update...or the server is just down. Not sure, but we'll look into it. Thanks. :)

Yes, a redesign of the website is in the works, though I think the person coding it may have bailed on me.
Is this the same person who coded the latest revision (the post-Subjective Effect version)? You know if you want a re-jig you can always ask me but seeing as how's I wasn't asked last time I'm not sure you want my particular brand of coding. :(

With the next update, there will be campaign support and with NHAT already in place, there will be a decent 3-mission mini campaign to get the player hooked. Should be sufficient in my eyes. :)

16
You do realize that would be Thief I AND II in one package. 8 would be tough for the team to do, wouldn't that be enough?

12 to 16 missions. That's fair isn't it?
