Springheel,
New Horizon: About bloom removing: As you wish :). But I hope sooner or later somebody will rewrite the TDM's shaders and we will see the bloom and the parallax both:angel:.

Doesn't having catalyst ai on improve the lighting in doom 3 engined games though? Strange and annoying that it would cause bugs. I guess the problem is it does too many things all under one name without anyone knowing exactly what. (

Hey, that was five years ago :). As for me (I'm using ATI graphics too), I never used the CCC (and never installed it) because it's a resource hog. There is a third party utility named "ATI Tray Tool" exist, and it's much more smaller and much more faster than CCC.
Thelvyn: Well, yes, I agree that your PC is not so fast for D3 & TDM.
As for Intel's integrated graphics cards: Yes, Intel is largest CPU and GPU vendor, but it's an only one. Everybody can choose CPU from: Intel, AMD, VIA. Everybody can choose GPU from: Intel, AMD/ATI, nVidia, VIA/S3, SiS.

Removing bloom from the menu would be a mistake. Daft even.
Well, it was a mistake for us to have included it there in the first place. We didn't make the bloom modification, nor did we ever intend to officially support it. It was just supposed to be left in the files for people to play with at their own risk. It's pretty easy to flip it on in the console, it won't be that big of a deal.

That's a Thief 2 Mission though.

I know that, but Thelvyn said that he had slowdowns in it too.

It's another opensource project using the quake3 source, a whole lot of added lighting and such code; and using a fork of DarkRadiant for its map editor. I'm not sure that DR checks out their changes - but they are largely Q3 focused.
There are a lot of editors based on GTKRadiant, like DarkRadiant, a few of them use changes made in DR, NetRadiant and XRealRadiant.

Very cool enhancement of the Q3 Engine. I have posted their (
http://xreal-project.net/) hompage here before. I think they started their project some time after Dark Mod. Had they been as far along then as they are now, we probably could have used their engine. It's absolutely gorgeous.
It also shows the power of open source folks. They took the Q3 engine, and turned it into an engine that looks even better than D3. The same potential awaits TDM when the D3 engine is open sourced.
In addition to the fixes we provide for Dark Radiant, the xreal team can also pass along any fixes they might have developed for it as well.

For the benefit of those interested in TDM but might not have noticed: TDM (at TTLG) has been moved to (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=163) this forum. As that is labelled a "Fan Mission" forum, I would guess TDM general could still be discussed in limited capacity here, though I'm not sure on that.
TDM Editing / DarkRadiant discussion has been designated (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=162) this space, though I strongly suggest instead using the official forums (link in my sig), which are active.
