I read somewhere last year that late 2008 was the expected release date for this mod... Is this still the expected release time????

Nope, that was our tentative date for a 'Beta' release...not 1.0. Right now, we're 'tentatively' pushing the beta release ahead another 6 months or so. Such is the reality of a project of this scope.

I can already imagine the possibilities for horror missions where you must enter a basement with a candle that you lit at the kitchen´s fire because it´s pitch dark down there and you´re likely to be eaten by a grue :D

What you can't do yet is blow it out again. :erg: Playing the demo I accidentally frobbed a lot of things because I didn't notice the tiny highlight. Am I the only one noticing this or have you already planned to alter the highlight a little?

Sure you can. Frobbing the candlestick pinches out the flame. Frobbing the holder allows you to pick it up and manipulate it as seen in the video.
