HELP PLEASE cannot get demo to work trying to set up shortcut but keep getting instal path not valid my copy of doom 3 is in harddrive E in program files do i put it target or start in shortcut E:\ProgramFiles\Doom3\DOOM3.exe +set fs_game thiefs_den does not work|

Have you done everything listed here, including copying the dll?

I finally got around to playing this demo the other day and I was very impressed. I look forward to the full mod. Now I just need new computer that can run Doom 3 at a decent frame rate!

More information please. What version of windows are you using? Follow the directions for your version of windows on our wiki.

I am in a right mess windows xp up to date updated Doom 3 to 1302 from 1260 ? I manage once to get it to 1304 then uninstalled now I cannot get it to 1304 if I try to instal your patch from 1302 or 1260 I get error report about open gl and not loading cfg nvida fx5200 latest drivers copied file to folder and win 32 when game was 1304 still got instal path not valid when I tried to modify shortcut anyone any thoughts

Well, it sounds like your patch isn't installed properly. When you install the patch, make sure you're pointing it to the correct directory. The patch that id provided is a real pain to use, they should have made it auto detect the correct directory.
As for the install path, I'm not sure what's happening there...but if you can't get the install path working...just startup doom 3 normally and try starting TDM from the list of Mods in the d3 menu.

Thanks I managed to get the demo working and it was worth it looks great after all your hard work lets hope it does not go the way of the T3 editor and no one uses it to make missions
