Yay! I just saw the trailer in HD, and I made it into it!
(Mind, I'm a lone guy on the street, blocking off ground traffic for production, but I was in it, nonethelessthankyouverymuch)

Stitch should totally hold off on going down to Oz until Dark Knight is out down there.

Screen-grab, godismygoldfish?:)
Or do you mean the scene you watched the crew film, while you helped off-camera, is in the trailer?

Anyway, he still dresses up in tights and fights criminals with names like Mr. Freeze and Two Face, and writers have never been afraid to invent a new supergadget whenever reality gets in his way.
Fair enough. At least in this incarnation we won't have to hear:
Where does he get those wonderful toys? It's the car, right? Chicks love the car.Although we did get a:
I got to get me one of those. (which I attribute to Will Smith, ugh)
I'm only worried about gadgets after the batpod if they pull out a batwing or batcopter with shark repellent, til that time, I'm happy.

Classic line, but not quite as good as "You are a vicious bastard, Rotelli. I'm glad you're dead!" I rewatched this movie a couple weeks ago and my god it's the fucking shit.
Personally, my favorite manifestation of Batman is probably the animated series that ran during the early 90's. I think it came closest to striking a balance between the various takes on Batman.

I think it's pretty widely excepted that the Dini/Timm animated Batman is the definitive Batman. But then that's the advantage of a daily tv show that ran for 4 straight years.

Well, I pretty much covered all my batbeefs in the thread Scots linked to, and I still stand by them. I don't really think realistic takes on superheroes work real well, as they tend to shine a spotlight on the absurdities inherent in the genre. Having said that, I didn't hate Batman Begins, I just recognize it as the mixed bag it is.
Hey, it's the fourth best movie with the word "Batman" in its title.
I was referring to Nolan not getting Batman on anything but the Kick! 'Splode! level. I'd agree with quite a few of your other criticisms, but I still think it's the best Batman movie out there. (Well, I haven't seen the Adam West one, so possibly second best.) I liked the first Batman the first time I saw it all those years ago, but my god it hasn't held up at all. The set design and music is still awesome, but story, characterisation and all that jazz fall completely flat for me.
And speaking of Burton's version, the reference to the Joker/Batman face-off in the trailer made me a bit :(.

I totally agree, I remember watching that cartoon and it kicked ass.
I thought Batman begins was pretty good, but maybe not as good as some. My brother fucking loved it whereas I felt it was somewhat odd at times. All the same, Im looking forward to tdk.
