Have you always been an asshole, or is that a recent development?
Since March 2000
For whatever it's worth, I was joking.

fwiw Stitch I thought in here and the Indy thread you were being pretty funny. Come on guys, he may not be serious but surely you see what he is saying. lol
nerds

People discussing the things they're enjoying? Yeah, that's pretty silly.
If people get all het up and argumentative about them, if they get into fights about them, then it's absolutely justified to make fun of them. But lolnerdz is pretty silly in itself.
Stitch on 18/6/2008 at 20:20
I'd say people speculating on the possible third act of a comic book movie to be released in a month qualifies for at least gentle ribbing.
SubJeff on 18/6/2008 at 20:31
Thirith, if Stitch were really doing a lolnerdz then yeah, it'd be silly.
But this is TTLG yo. All of us have some hobbies/interests that at least skirt the dress of nerdery. Heck, if we can't laugh at ourselves and take a gentle ribbing from one of our own it's no fun at all.
Thirith on 18/6/2008 at 20:37
It just strikes me as the most boring, lazy joke to make. "Man, you bunch of nerds, you're nerds!"
But listen, we're making this into way more than it deserves to be.
SubJeff on 18/6/2008 at 21:15
I'd normally agree, but he does it so funny.

Stitch's ribbing or the movie?
ZING!
No? :(
ANYWAY
Imagine the *extreme opposite* of the Burton/Jones Two-Face character, and you'll get a better idea of what was intended in the comics. I think the term 'nerd rage' was coined subsequent to my reaction of that film. They almost had to throw me out of the theater.

I think you mean Schumacher/Jones Two-Face. Not Burton/Jones.
Scots Taffer on 19/6/2008 at 05:48
Yeah, it would've been Burton/Billy Dee Two-Face. lol.
